Transfer Station
Location: NW-01-30-05 W2
In an attempt to encourage the proper use of the bin sites for bagged household garbage only, Council has decided to waive all transfer station fees for all residents and rate payers.

Allowable Materials:
Paper and cardboard
- Flattened corrugated cardboard and paperboard(empty cereal boxes, empty detergent boxes, empty tissue boxes)
- Newspaper, flyers, inserts,junkmail and envelopes
- Magaziness, catalogues, telephone books, paperback books
- Hardcover books with covers and spine removed
- Brown paper bags, tissue roll cores, gift and package paper, paper egg cartons
- Copier paper, ncr(no carbon reguired) paper
Aluminum & Tin
- Soft drink and beer cans
- Foil trays and pie plates
- Household tin cans(paper removed)
Plastic
- Containers with logo 1 - 7
- Plastic bags(put into one bag)
- Bottles and plastic wrap
Aseptic Packaging & Cartons
- Juice and milk containers, milk jugs, tetra-pak containers
The Following is NOT Allowed:
- Household garbage, organics or hazardous waste
- Waxed, plasticized or food contaminated paper, cardboard cups or plastic cups
- Soiled tissues, napkins and paper towels
- Confetti shredded paper
- Styrofoam or other foam packing materials
- Auto parts or batteries
- Black plastic garbage bags
Many non- recyclable items can contaminate an entire recycling truck load, which then has to be sent to the landfill, and some are also extremely dangerous to the staff that work at the recycle facility.
Machines DO NOT sort the loads of recycling that come to the recycling facility, people manually sort through these items. Please be mindful, thoughtful, and courteous about the items you place in the recycle bins.
