Resort Area Property for Sale

The Rural Municipality of Good Lake is home to nine resort areas, all bordering or close to Good Spirit Lake. These are privately or co-operatively owned, and all but one still have highly-desirable lots for sale suitable for seasonal or permanent residences. Many also offer camping for seasonal visitors.

Good Spirit Acres

This subdivision is the jewel of the area, with residential and seasonal lots set within a beautiful 18-hole golf course. This resort area is the place where young families and retirement couples alike have come to get away from city life. If you golf, it doesn't get any better than this... a magnificent and mature 18-hole course winding through the residential areas and large stands of poplar.

The hamlet of Good Spirit Acres boasts a modern clubhouse and restaurant at the golf course, a year-round store and gas bar, and rental cabins. A community skating rink and playground is maintained by the local community. Paved highways lead to Good Spirit Acres, and the resort itself has paved roads throughout.

Burgis Beach

A long-established development on the east shore of Good Spirit Lake, Burgis Beach is home to more than 200 cottages. Traditionally known as Sunnyside Beach, this resort area is now becoming home to many permanent residents.

Helping spur on permanent development is the CRPUB rural water pipeline, which delivers good, treated water from the town of Canora's groundwater supply. A community hall is available for rent. Electrical campsites are available from the Burgis Beach Co-operative.

A privately-owned store is open at Burgis Beach from May to October and offers a wide selection of food and snacks. Rental cabins are also available. Contact:

Canora Beach

Many new cottages and retirement homes are being built in this beautiful established development set in the poplars on the north east shore of Good Spirit Lake.

Helping spur on permanent development is the CRPUB rural water pipeline, which delivers good, treated water from the town of Canora's groundwater supply. Ability to connect to the water pipeline may be limited in this area; check with CRPUB for details. There are over 75 existing cottages and residences, and more to come. A store/confectionery/gas bar operates during the summer months.

A large, well-developed campground also makes Canora Beach a popular summer destination. Electrical sites are available.

Ponderosa Subdivision

Set in the trees alongside Good Spirit Provincial Park, Ponderosa is a great secluded spot to build a cottage or home. About 20 cottages have been developed, with room for more. The subdivision is in close proximity to all the amenities of the provincial park, making Ponderosa the place for your summer cottage or home.

Northshore Resort:

Formerly known as George's Beach, this campground and fishing hole is located at the north end of Good Spirit Lake. An incredible view from the north end affords campers and fishermen an enjoyable spot to spend their summers.

A few subdivided lots are available for development, and treated water is available from the rural water pipeline.
